The client, a young couple, a husband who is a business entrepreneur and fitness buff; and his wife, a wedding consultant, and an interior designer commissioned Templegate Consultants Limited for the design of a twin duplex within the Lekki Residential Scheme in early 2014, which reflected the unique aspects of their individual lifestyles.

The design was further complicated by the gentle, continuous evolution of the design requirements throughout the concept and detailed designs, with the final amendments and tweaks occurring during project construction.

These periodic evolutions required a critical understanding of the client’s quiet, understated, elegant lifestyle to ensure a final product that met the client’s current spatial requirements for a young, hip couple; as well as provide the perfect canvas for the wife to bring their home to life with her eye for high-end interior finishing and furnishings.

Some key design features include:

• A modern home-office which doubled as a mini gym area.
• Large master bedroom with extensive walk-in closets for the couple, leading to a massive master bathroom.
• Contemporary, fully-fitted, white marble kitchen with the breakfast bar integrated into the kitchen island.
• Private family living area to double as a cinema room with projector screen and HD surround sound.
