The client; Messrs. Pure Souls Learning Foundation is a non-governmental organization which was conceived in the year 2007 to assist indigent families with children affected by Autism in Nigeria in collaboration with St. Patrick Languages Centre. Amongst other things, they provide support and care for autistic children; they create awareness, organize seminars and forums on autistic disorders and its management.
Templegate Consultants Limited was invited to submit a design proposal for a purpose-built school for the provision of special and detailed care for autistic children.

- Appropriate zoning of the various activity spaces to lend themselves to the students’ sensory development.
- Provision of swimming pool, well-landscaped sensory garden and external play areas.
- The design should facilitate ease of use by staff and students.
- Ample natural lighting was emphasized as a key design requirement.
- Consideration of environmentally-friendly design features.
- Deployment of horizontal and vertical zoning design techniques to ensure students’ privacy at all times.
- Provision of ample car parking facilities for staff and parents.
